Born and raised in Switzerland, where she currently lives and works, she is considered one of the greatest musical personalities for her interpretive and technical level in the chamber music repertoire, ranging from early baroque to Lieder; she distinguishes herself by her uncommon expressive ability.

She is the founder of the Albicastro Ensemble Suisse and the Meister Consort, with whom she has performed a wide Renaissance/Baroque and Classical/Romantic repertoire, unknown at the time, in major theaters and festivals in Europe, Asia and South America.

The need to use the artifices of the art of “Belcanto” in her interpretations, has led her to develop a particular vocal technique based on natural resonanceand derived from the original performance practice of the time. This technique has enabled her to train hundreds of singers who, in turn, spread her art around the world by teaching in leading conservatories and institutions of higher education in Europe and Asia.

Her concerts and recordings world-wide, where original instruments were played, offer an extensive vocal chamber repertoire ranging from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

She was hosted by renowned international institutions such the Berlin Charlottenburg Bach Festival, the Frankfurt Alte Oper, Weilburg an Rhein; the Madrid Teatro Real, The Teatro de Cataluña in Barcelona, the Grande Teatro-Opera Nacional, Palacio de la Aljafería in Zaragoza; the Estate Fiesolana at Palazzo Pitti in Florence, the Teatro Arena di Verona, the National Concert Hall Taipei and others.
She has sung with prestigious artists such as René Jacobs, Andreas Steier, Pedro Memelsorf in the Ensemble Mala Punica; Rinaldo Alessandrini, Fabio Biondi, Patrick Ayrton, Jaag Schröder, Kenneth Gilbert, Andrea Coen and others.

She is Professor Emerita of Conservatorio Superiore of Neuchâtel and of the Haute école de musique de Genève; she is well known and sought after for teaching in various summer courses and master classes in Europe and overseas, notably: the International Course of Early Music in Urbino, the International Course of Early Music in Santu Lussurgiu, the Curso Internacional de Música Antigua de Daroca at Santiago de Compostela; the Cursos Internacionales de Música de Sitges; a course at Taipei University of the Arts and at the Escuela Universitaria de Música of Montevideo, Uruguay.
