Just 45 years ago, Rosa Maria Meister founded the Albicastro Ensemble Suisse in Bern, together with Spanish lutenist Jorge Fresno . The ensemble quickly gained international recognition and performed at many major European festivals and theaters. This was followed by tours in Latin America and Asia and numerous master classes in Europe and Asia. Numerous radio and TV recordings and many vinyl and CD recordings, some of them award-winning (e.g., Premio Nacional del Disco – Spain).
The members of the ensemble, whose size varies depending on the program, are well-known soloists in the field of early music and put their experience at the service of an interpretation as faithful to the original as possible.
